The trunk show of yarns, kits and models from Hand Paint Knitting Yarn has arrived today and will be on display throughout September and the first week of October. The first 10 kits sold get a 10% discount - so shop early for the best selection. Kits for scarves, shawls, afghans. Both knit and crochet.

Our Saturday Sidewalk Sales will be really special for the rest of the year. We are doing inventory during the week, and putting wonderful surprises outside every Saturday. Shop early for the best selection. This week (October 1) will feature yarns from Berroco company and many magazines and pattern books on sale for $2. Time to stock your library!

We have received SO MUCH new yarn this week that we need to really move things around. Remember to visit our SATURDAY SIDEWALK SALE where you can get great bargains (crazy, really!!) on wonderful yarns to add to your stash. Selection varies each week - so come early as some customers have been known to clean us out early!

Our aid worker contact has moved to yet another location in Afghanistan (central, in the mountains). She is requesting warm clothing for girls of all ages for a local orphanage, and for the small number of women and children in the local prison. We have quite a stash built up from the last few months and will start shipping immediately! She said it's already getting cooler at night so that you need a sweater. That means it will be downright frigid come winter!
If you wish to help, please knit WARM items - scarves, socks, sweaters, hats and drop them off at the store. We will ship boxes to her directly as we get them filled. Thanks for all the help that our great customers always provide!

We are now going to CLOSE on Wednesday at 5pm like the rest of the days. Just not enough people taking classes, shopping or even coming to sit and knit at that time. So how our hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 - 5. Closed Sunday.

we have received new Katia books - two for adults, one for babies and one for kids. Great patterns for all ages and using many of their new yarns. The books have been disappearing like hotcakes and we'll do a re-order soon. of course the first order took 6 months to get here.... hmmm..

We've also ordered from a NEW company - Madeline Tosh - and many people will be really excited about that! Woo hoo!. Yarn should arrive the first week of August.

New colors in Eros (yes, that ladder yarn is back in popularity). We have peacock, purples and black and white.
